NEXT LEVEL NUTRITION TRACKING – SHAZAM FOR FOOD

Objective

YuScale is a revolutionary and affordable solution seamlessly integrable into daily routines to solve the determination of nutrients of food intake in a convenient, fast and precise manner. YuScale unique selling points is the 90% precision on determining nutrition in less time that current available solutions (30 seconds for a dish with 3-4 components).
YuScale replaces human weakness on guessing the food composition so it will benefit a wide range of EU population, from healthy citizens to citizens suffering from related diseases such as Diabetes.
The business and go to market strategy rely on the provision of software and hardware components to diabetes service providers aiming simplified data acquisition to lead to a more complete documentation and thus an improved diseases treatment and prevention and end-user retention. This ensure the rapid scalability.
Since the idea conception, we have participated in three acceleration programmes (ODINE, Vertical and Startupbootcamp Digital Health). We have validated the prototype with more than 50 pilot users over 56 days, the B2C sales strategy selling the 300 scales from the pilot batch in our webshop that allowed us to create our community of end users to test and validate the usability of the product. This project is an important step to reinforce the B2B approach to scale up and to shape YuScale for the next round of fund raising.
