Project description
Novel collaboration software for industrial plants
The EU-funded TALENT SWARM project is developing a platform to provide engineers, technicians and managers access to a digital twin or simulator of their industrial plant. The platform is similar to a flight simulator for pilot training, and depending on the amount of information it receives, it allows for progressively more sophisticated functions. It generates a 3D virtual model of a complete industrial plant and integrates all the necessary information (up to 7D) into a single system. The innovation helps provide a collaborative working environment by monitoring complex industrial assets for greater efficiency, integrating with maintenance programmes to prevent unscheduled shutdowns and connecting workers for real-time remote assistance.
Objective
DYNATEC is a Spanish engineering company led by Jim Novack, considered one of the world's leading experts in VR, AR, ColDYNATEC is a Spanish engineering company led by Jim Novack who is considered one of the world's leading experts in VR, AR, Collaborative Work Environments and Project Lifecycle Management is the creator and promoter of TALENT SWARM.
TALENT SWARM generates a 3D virtual model of a complete industrial plant, including the people who work on it both in the plant and in the offices, allowing AR and VR solutions to move and operate freely through the 3D model.
The model, according to the client's needs, will add layers or dimensions (D) of information (price and technical specifications - 4D, real-time - 5D, IoT included personnel - 6D, physical simulation for M&O - 7D) and security (blockchain-5D) on some objects, sections or throughout the plant. From any computer, tablet or smartphone TALENT SWARM can display any place or person in the plants of a company located on five continents, contact to company or external experts to solve an incident, to analyze the historical of an equipment and foresee its future behavior, search for a new machine and request an offer if needed, organize a M&O training session and much more.
Talent Swarm Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are: Reduction in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) 5-25%, increased availability 2-6%, reduction in reactive maintenance 10-40%, EH&S incident reduction 3-40% and gain in employment productivity 5-25%.
Immersive Collaborative Working Environments is a niche market within the Project Lifecycle Management Marketplace in which DYNATEC will commercially target the European and American market valued at 1,740 million euros per year.
The successful completion of the project represents an important business opportunity for DYNATEC, which thanks to this development expects to generate revenues of 33.6/67.8 million euros within 5-7 years, create 135/167 direct jobs and create 246/307 indirect jobs.
