Project description
Fast and secure data transfer service
Professionals face several challenges when transferring data concerning speed, size and safety. The EU-funded Takeafile project proposes a solution that will allow professionals to channel all their data transfer needs in a single platform, up to ten times faster when compared to other alternatives, without size limitation of the files sent and in an entirely confidential way. This disruptive service is different from the sharing services as it transfers files without intermediate servers using a peer-to-peer transfer strategy. As such, the file goes directly from one computer to another computer using the shortest route.
Objective
Takeafile is a disruptive service that will allow professionals to channel all their data transfer needs in a single platform, so they can send files faster than with the alternatives (up to ten times faster), without size limitation of the files sent and in a purely confidential way. To this end, Takeafile distinguishes itself from the sharing services proposing a unique way of sending files without the need of intermediate servers, using a peer-to-peer transfer strategy, where the file goes direct from one computer to another computer, using the shortest way.
