New software for solar photovoltaic industry

The solar industry is heating up with an increasing number of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects that have been launched and installed and/or connected to the grid. However, developing a solar PV project is a complicated process. It requires a team of experts to carry out the analysis, the design and basic engineering documentation, making it time and cost consuming. To address this issue, the EU-funded pvDesign project will bring to market software that automates this process to make it much faster, more accurate, flexible and reliable. The overall goal is to automate, optimise and accelerate the traditional engineering practice. This software-as-a-service tool is easy to use, and its features will benefit owners, managers and constructors of PV solar plants.
