Exploring and Modifying the Sense of Time in Virtual Environments

Deliverables

Project reports, risk reports and final report

All different types of reports will be generated by the partners of the consortium under the supervision of the Central Project Office (CPO). Based on the light-weight, flexible management ensuring efficient communication among the partners, will allow to provide rapid and effective decision-making processes on technical and organizational issues, as well as full and timely compliance with EU administrative and reporting requirements including early detection and possible management of risks.

Ethics forum

Based on empirical data obtained in D6.3 and systematic reflections with partners within the consortium and with external cooperation partners we will approach normative aspects (e.g.: “How is ‘normal’ and norm-deviant time experience defined?”) that are closely related to justification of interventions (e.g.: “Under which conditions can we intervene?”). Results will be published. D6.4 covers task T6.4.

Proof of concept for diagnosis tools for depression, schizophrenia and ASD

On the basis of the multimodal data sets and computational model of time experience and distortions (subjective, objective, physiological, neural) we will provide a setup serving diagnosis of the different psychopathological conditions enabling differential diagnosis of the three different psychopathological disturbances being studied in the consortium. Besides that we will initiate a substantial ethical debate discussing issues of normativity, justification of the interventions to be undertaken, based on experiences of participants and on discussions among ethics experts and members of the consortium.

MetaChron v3.0 final version

The final version of the experimental platform MetaChron will allow to study time experience including experiential, behavioural and neural measures and will enable to manipulate time experience based on robust and user-friendly VR research scenarios, a novel AI-driven time controller modifying the dynamics of the VR setup and allowing automatic scenario adaptation.

Open Research Data Pilot

According to the Open Research Data Pilot (ORDP; Article 29.3, Annotated Model Grant Agreement) we agree to publish data sets with their publications in a peer-review-journal to increase visibility and impact of the results of consortium as long as the main objectives of the consortium are not jeopardised by making research data openly accessible. This will be monitored on the basis of the data management plan established by the consortium members.

Final public report of intervention studies

Results of intervention studies will be summarized both for the publication in international journals with peer-review system as well as in a feasible and readable style for the general public in order to allow full access to the findings of the consortium including preliminary recommendations for further technical developments and clinical practice. This will also include results of the ethical discourse initiated and entertained by the consortium.
