D3.1 covers the simulations of different train families having different train length/hauled mass versus the “technology” implemented. For technology, it is not only meant the characteristic of GSM-R communication, but also the brake position, the number of TU and the occurrence of two axle wagons. It is the basis from which the two technical demonstrators are chosen.
GSM-R or LTE radio, Design solution, based on tests results of previous and ongoing projects and on Bombardier TU architecture. From the best trains configurations adapted to the market involving TU and DPS, taking into account the characteristics of the locomotives of the CFM partners a GSM-R or LTE radio solution is designed to be integrated in the TU and DPS to safely transfer all necessary orders and information (to and from) in nominal mode and degraded mode in all operational situations that may be encountered in the network.
D3.3 covers the specific simulations performed for the test demonstrators with DPS, according to the chosen train layout, the specific track (in terms of gradient) and the operative testing conditions.
Provides the results coming from the safety activities performed during the WP2. They include the planning of the activities performed for safety demonstration (Safety plan), the records of all the safety-relevant information (Hazard log), the Preliminary Risk analysis on the integrated system, the safety analysis of the Radio communication, and the verification activities on the train dynamic simulations.

It will describe effective dissemination and communication actions achieved. It will give indications of the major points of Stakeholders’ interest with the possible roadmap. It provides the steps to be followed for implementation and exploitation of M2O results in collaboration with S2R-CFM-IP5-01-2018 partners
Defines the quality procedures and the risk management plan. Aims at ensuring a smooth running of M2O Project. It describes the activities and tools to track and monitor the progress and actions related to identified risks.
The integration concept and the result of Hardware and Software integration is here reported. The report will cover communication characteristics on train and on radio link for test demonstrator.
D3.2 addresses the actual implementation of safety requirements by the tests Demonstrators and underlining the needs of further verification and validation activities toward a full Specific Application Safety Case.
D4.1 applies to the test demonstrators, to provide the conclusions of the Independent Safety Assessment. It fixes the status of compliance and recommendations.
