GNSS Automated Virtualized Test Environment for RAIL

Livrables

Overview over today’s approval processes in different countries

This deliverable is devoted to provide an overview over current approval process in different countries.

Project Results /achievements for future Shift2Rail activities

The final report summarising the main results achieved in the project, best practise for future S2R activities and the innovation plan will be provided at the end of the project by Task 7.3 and Task 7.4, respectively.

GNSS Characterization in the Railway Domains

This deliverable will be focused to define: - standardized databases that will be used in order to develop realistic error models, interferences signatures, their occurrence probabilities so that the developed concept and methodology can reflect the real operational use; - the main GATE4Rail simulation blocks and their relative tools from a functional point of view and the high level interfaces between them.

Railway Scenarios and Requirements

This deliverable is devoted to identify use cases in the railway environment and the related scenarios of interest. Main requirements will be defined in terms of geo-localization performances and key elements to be modelled in the simulations.

Models for Fail-Safe positioning components w.r.t. Faults

This deliverable will be focused on identifying and defining error models and faulty events for fail-safe positioning components focusing in particular on GNSS global hazards (satellite clock and ephemeris error, rare constellation fault and anomalous ionosphere conditions) and local ones (depending on the selected railway scenario and local environment as severe multipath, attenuation foliage, orographic obstacles and presence of buildings or train stations) to be synthetically generated and simulated at the very top level of the chain (local and global hazards) with respective occurrence probabilities.

Geo-distributed Simulation and Verification Infrastructure Modules and Interfaces functional and Operational Requirements

This deliverable will be focused on functional and operational requirements of the geo-distributed simulation and verification infrastructure connecting GNSS.

Methodology and Tools for Continuous Integration & Automation Test Repetition

This task is devoted to define methodology and tools for CI as well as automated test repetition taking the safety aspect into account. CI is based on maintaining a single-source repository and building a shared work environment.

Railway and GNSS Test Cases

This deliverable will be focused on test cases identification using mission profiles, as it will be addressed in X2Rail2 project.

Dissemination and exploitation plan for the project

This is for the set up, and going live, of a public website for the project. This will be continuously updated with news and results throughout the life of the project. Task 7.1 will take care of this deliverable.

Dissemination and Exploitation activities

A report defining the project dissemination, communication and exploitation strategies for the project will be prepared by Task 7.1. A GATE4RAIL project Website (Month 3) will be created and updated during the project.

Concept and Methodology Definition for Automated Update of Tests Environment

This deliverable will be focused on simulation environment up-to-date and in line with system evolution and of the track configuration.

Methodology and Tools for Automated Evaluation of Test Results

This task is devoted to show methodology and tools for automated evaluation of test results including the safety aspects. The methodology and tools to be defined will support the automatic evaluation of tests with the purposes of: - providing an automatic analysis and evaluation of the results to foster a more easy approval process; - allowing evaluation of ERTMS and GNSS components and systems.
