Project description
Anticipating runaway tigers and chemical leakages
Risk management is an essential process to ensure business continuity by considering the full range of possible negative scenarios. Pilotech, a Norwegian provider of a cloud-based crisis management and emergency response system, is helping companies digitise and improve contingency plans. In this context, the EU-funded InCaseIT in EU project will focus on expanding Pilotech’s emergency response business into the EU. To that end, it will study the market and product requirements and focus on a wide range of risks such as chemical leakages, plane crashes and runaway tigers. This crisis management system, delivered as a software-as-a-service (SaaS), will enable large corporations and smaller businesses to mitigate risk and respond adequately if/when crisis strikes.
Objective
Pilotech has an ambition to expand its Emergency Response business into EU. In order to do this, it needs to gather market knowledge and product requirements in EU. Pilotech is seeking to partly finance a feasibility study covering market intelligence and product insight through SME instrument – phase 1 (€ 50 000 )
Our mission: Runaway Tiger, Chemical leakage, Aircraft accident. It is not the fact that you have an operation with risk that matters, but how you handle it if it happens.
InCaseIT from Pilotech is an operational crisis management system delivered as a Software as a service (SaaS). It will enable large corporations and smaller businesses to document preparedness, mitigate risk and respond adequately if unwanted incidents should happen.
How to approach the international market (EU), where to focus, finance requirements and aligning the value proposition to the customer profiles. These are the key points for the feasibility study.
We expect the identified system changes to be within reach as some of our present customers are international corporations. Hence the main learning points will be on the business side of the study. Pilotech has developed InCaseIT and sold InCaseIT to 35 customers covering branches like airlines, chemistry factories, property owners, hotel operators, amusement parks, Red Cross, ship builders mainly in Norway. Given our go to market strategy proves valid, Pilotech will reach a revenue in 2022 of € 7MM (30% profit margin).
