Project description
How key services are helping SMEs in Istanbul realise their innovation potential
SMEs make up approximately 99 % of the Turkish economy, contributing to economic growth, employment, and job creation. The EU-funded INNOVIST 3.0 project aims to provide key account management services to beneficiaries of Horizon 2020’s SME Instrument, Fast Track to Innovation and Future and Emerging Technologies Open, as well as provide services that will enhance the innovation management capacity of SMEs in the Istanbul region. The services aim to give SMEs a greater understanding of their innovation capacities, gaps, the actions they can take to solve problems, and development opportunities. This, in turn, will boost their competitiveness, growth and the success of their innovation projects.
Objective
INNOVIST 3.0 aims to provide Key Account Management (KAM) services to beneficiaries of Horizon 2020’s SME Instrument, FTI and FET Open; and providing services for “Enhancing Innovation Management Capacity” (EIMC) to SMEs in the Istanbul region. The main objective of the project is to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness, growth and profitability of SMEs in the region by assessing their innovation management capacities, performing gap analyses, and developing and prioritizing actions to resolve problems and further improve their innovation outcomes. The innovation management capacity and performance of a company will be assessed by using tools in compliance with the CEN/TS 16555-1 standard (such as IMP3rove, AToMIC or smE-MPOWER).
A total of 55 SMEs will be provided this service, 52 of them targeted for EIMC services (7-10 days long), and
3 reserved for KAM services. The consortium will devote 2,3 FTE for these services for the 2019 period.
