Enhance innovation management capacities in Andalusian SMEs. CESEAND InnoAses 2019.

Project description

Enhancing the innovation potential of Andalusian SMEs

Improvement of innovation management capacities is essential to create more innovative and competitive SMEs in the single market. The EU-funded CESEAND InnoAses4 project will assist SME beneficiaries of Horizon 2020’s SME Instrument in Andalusia. The aim will be for the SMEs to realise their innovation potential and the innovation management capacity to contribute to the smart growth of Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla. The project will provide tailored support services and information and advisory services, such as mentoring, coaching, and partner search activities, for SMEs wishing to develop innovation projects with a strong European or international potential. CESEAND InnoAses4 will also support the SMEs to enhance their relationships with other potential European partners.

Objective

The CESEAND InnoAses4 project, based on the three main pillars of Excellent Science, Competitive Industries and Tackling Societal Challenges described into the 2014-2020 HORIZON 2020 work programme “Innovation in SMEs”, identifies the Innovation Management Capacities Improvement as a crucial milestone to create more innovative Andalusian SMES, enhance their relation with other potential European partners, reinforce their potential cooperation and increase the cross border activities becoming more and more competitive into the single market.

Advance and tailored support into the SMEs Innovation Management Capacities is also needed in order to create a favourable ecosystem for their innovations growth, providing support to research, development and innovation projects, such as specific services aimed to improve their innovation skills and address the financing needs required by the implementation and execution of high-risk and high-potential innovation ideas to markets. This means, as described into the figure below, start analysing which ideas, from a pool of different ones, are able to arrive faster to the market, making more profitable the resources allocated for these projects.

The two main objectives of this proposal are to ensure that key SME beneficiaries of H2020 are helped efficiently to fulfil their innovation potential and the innovation management capacity of the SME clients is increased; which contributes to the smart growth of Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla; through the provision of support services as well as information and advisory services such as mentoring, coaching and partner search activities for SMEs aimed to enhance the innovation management capacities, wishing to develop innovation projects with a strong European or international potential.
