Objective
Within this research project, novel and ultra-fast methods for 3D in-vivo imaging will be developed and applied to imaging in tissues and large animals such as mice. In particular, computer codes that extract 3D surfaces, and implement such surfaces for predicating the propagation of light within tissue will be developed. These codes will be used in fast inversion algorithms to provide 3D maps of absorption and/or fluorescence if possible in real time. The computer codes developed will be implemented in a new 3D optical tomography device that the host is at the moment developing, within an Integrated Project in the Fp6 framework for in-vivo Molecular Imaging.
