Project description
Novel application for commercial transactions
More than 75 % of commercial transactions between companies in the fruits and vegetables (F&V) sector require a long process with many interactions on different levels. As the sector deals with perishable products, the losses along the distribution chain and retailers due to degradation and expiring represent more than 7.5 %. The EU-funded Consentio project proposes a digital application (App & Desktop) with a conversational approach that automates a significant share of selling/buying flows in the F&V market. It improves the existing relationships between stakeholders and increases the global efficiency of the sector. The innovation targets the whole market, working to integrate conversations with legacy systems to allow end-to-end management of transactions.
Objective
More than 75% of commercial transactions between companies in the F&V (fruits and vegetables) sector are initiated with an instant messaging conversation that is followed by a long process with many interactions on different channels (emails, calls, etc.). Easing these interactions will improve the efficiency supply chain and will have a high economic impact. This impact is strengthened in the F&V sector because it deals with perishable products and the amount of goods lost along the distribution chain and retailers due to degradation and expiring “best-before-dates” is moving further along, 7.5%
Consentio is a digital application (App & Desktop) with a conversational approach that mechanizes a large share of selling/buying flows in the F&V market. It strengthens the existing relationships between stakeholders and increases the global efficiency of the sector. New commercial opportunities could stem out as well.
Although there are some marketplaces oriented to the horticulture field, our main difference with respect them is that we target the whole market taking advantage the existing relationships that at present account for the 90% of the volume of activity. We are also working to integrate conversations with legacy systems to enable an end-to-end management of transactions.
Our team is innovative and well balance with high experience in setting successful start-ups with technological foundations and with demonstrated know-how in technology and management fields. We have also tested an MVP (minimum viable product) in several countries with potential customers that have showed a high interest in acquiring our application. We have obtained 850K Euros in venture capital funding, but we need 1.2 M Euros to have a full version with capability to disrupt the horticulture supply chain. This investment will have also a high impact in our company it will imply the creation of 18 jobs and a ROI of 3,25 in the first three years.
