Data generation in life sciences has outgrown man’s capacity to harness this knowledge, thus a bioinformatics software is required to extract knowledge from the highly heterogeneous and non-standard data currently existing. The ever-growing gap between information technology (IT) and life science environments is hindering efficient knowledge discovery by scientists and the high-end computational resources required for computing and complex software ecosystem development are expensive and scarce.
The overall objectives of OMICpro are:
- Develop the world’s first and leading bio-analysis web-based community and development platform, to attract, collect, analyse and classify as many of the analytical methodologies developed by scientists worldwide as possible;
- Demonstrate that omicX’ approach generates valuable results that cannot otherwise be obtained (using selected cases with appropriate datasets);
- Create an intelligent, automatically-evolving machine-learning-based set of algorithms to extract meaning and knowledge from the raw information released worldwide.

OMICpro is an integrated web-interface/artificial intelligence (AI)/big-data/cloud framework to accelerate and simplify biological data analysis and interpretation.
