In this deliverable the minutes of the SMAGRINET consortium kick-off meeting will be provided. It contains the main discussion points and decisions made. The D1.1 will be provided by the project coordinator TalTech and is realated to the T1.1 Project Management.
Additionally to the modules there will be capacity building programmes developed under the T4.1 Development of 3 short-term blended learning programmes that enable to respond to the urgent challenges rapidly. This will be done under the T4.1 Development of 3 short-term blended learning programmes. D4.1 reports about the developed short term programmes targeting a) electrical engineering workforce from industry; b) researchers; c) broader public.
D1.4 is related to the T1.3 Advisory Board (AB) formation and operation. During the first Advisory Board workshop (M3) the Advisory Board is expected to provide recommendations on the networking (WP2) and content of the capacity building activities (WP3 modules development and WP 4 short-term programmes. D1.4 is about the Advisory Board meeting of the SMAGRINET project. It includes the minutes of the first Advisory Board workshop (M3) - main discussion points and results of the meeting. The deliverable will be provided by the project coordinator TalTech.
T3.1. Development of 3 challenge and case-based modules will develop as set of 3 challenge and case-based master level (MA, MSc or ME) modules (each 3 EAP) ending with a simulation session for electrical engineering students with focus on the smart grid engineering for responding to emerging operational problems. The D3.1 reports in the modules developed.
D1.5 is related to the T1.3 Advisory Board (AB) formation and operation and is about the second Advisory Board meeting of the SMAGRINET project. It includes the minutes of the second Advisory Board workshop (M17) - main discussion points and results of the meeting. The deliverable will be provided by the project coordinator TalTech. The second AB workshop (M17) is about introducing the evaluation results of the pilots to the AB members and discussing how to adjust the programmes (WP3 and WP4) based on the evaluation recommendations; analysing the draft of the deployment package and roadmap for replication as well as ideas for the train-the trainers´ pilot for AB feedback and suggestions; supporting the consortium in finding further organizations interested to take up the capacity building programmes.
In this deliverable the minutes of the second SMAGRINET consortium meeting will be provided. It contains the main discussion points and decisions made. The D1.2 will be provided by the project coordinator TalTech as part of the T1.1 Project Management.
The annual conferences described in T6.5. Annual conferences will be one of the main events of the project acting as a large-scale informing and awareness raising event, where the main findings of the project will be shared with a large multidisciplinary audience. D6.7 First annual conference gives an overview about the organization and content of the SMAGRINET first annual conference.
The evaluation of the pilots and adjustment of the modules has accrding to the T3.4 Evaluation of the pilots and adjustment of the modules two phases and follows the logic of the academic years. Evaluation of the modules (WP3) and short-term programmes (WP4) is done within the same period of time. First phase (M15-M20): partly in parallel and after the implementation of the modules during the first academic year of the SMAGRINET project and before entering the second cycle, evaluation and adjustment of the programmes will be done by M20. D3.6 Modules´ pilot evaluation and updated modules (1) brings out the evaluation results.
As part of the T6.4 Dissemination and communication activities in D6.5 LOBA as the dissemination and communication leader will provide an overview of the communication activities of the project from M1-15.
T2.3 Creating of matrix of challenges/cases identifies the real-life challenges that the smart grid engineering area faces that build a basis for the capacity building modules and programmes (WP3, WP4). By M5 a matrix will be provided. The D2.3 is about the results of this task.
Deployment package includes online methodological manuals for the trainers to support the uptake of the capacity building programmes. 4 manuals will be developed based on the teaching materials developed under the T3.1 and T4.1. These manuals will be available as online resources that makes them widely and easily accessible. The manuals will be presented at the train-the trainers´ workshop T5.3 that aims create common understanding on implementing the modules (WP3) and programmes (WP4). D5.3 reports on the results of this task.
T3.2 Piloting of the developed modules - during the first academic year the modules are taught by the leading experts of the consortium who are going to rotate between the 6 consortium universities. The D3.2 summarises the progress made during the first academic year of piloting the modules.
The D2.2 is about reporting of the results of the T2.2 Pooling of needs, capacities and resource base: mapping of the current practices, validating the skills, competences and research and innovation needs to meet the indusrty needs, validating the needs for training the trainers.
Based on the T5.1 Deployment plan and roadmap for replication the D5.1 First version of the deployment plan and roadmap for replication will be launched. To assure the replicability of the project results and concretise the value of the project, a deployment plan and roadmap for replicability will be proposed. The plan and roadmap include concrete actions to achieve the multiplier effect, enlarge the network of organizations interested in implementing the capacity building programmes. First version of the deployment plan and roadmap for replication will be provided by the M12.
T6.2 Visual development and supporting material focuses on the development of a strong brand and all the material necessary for an efficient communication and dissemination of the project. In D6.3 Project’s Branding and Stationary an overview will be given on these activities.
