Periodic Reporting for period 1 - SOFIE (Southern Ocean Overtuning Fingerprint Experiment)

Due to COVID pandemic situation and a set of different issues that arose as a consequence, the project never started.
Although as indicated the project never started oficially it was never the plan. Due to that, in fact, in February 2020 just before the COVID pandemic declaration by the OMS, the beneficiary reseracher, Raquel Somavillla, and her supervisor, Alberto Naveira Garabato made an oral presentation at the Ocean Science Meeting San Diego 2020 titled ‘Variability and Controls of the Interior Density Structure of the Southern Ocean’ (by R.Somavilla A. Naveira Garabato, C. González-Pola, J. Fernandez-Diez) which included the first results expected from the SOFIE Project that were obtained working in free hours in the previous months with the plan to start the SOFIE Project and the Marie Curie grant in spring 2020. Unfortunatelly, the COVID pandemic situation arose, and the SOFIE Project never started.
