Interim Report on Open Science Use Cases for Fusion Information presents existing use cases currently used by fusion researchers and hypothetical open science use cases. The use cases will cover improved collaboration between different groups within the same site, increased cross-site data analysis and machine learning across multiple data sets. It will also identify a subset of these requirements which should be addressed by the demonstrator being developed within WP5 based on maximising the impact of the demonstrator.
Report on Interoperability and AccessReport on Interoperability and Access reports on the use of persistent identifiers within the context of fusion data including recommendations on when such persistent identifiers should be made visible and the granularity at which they should be applied and, where necessary, the appropriate costs for doing so projected out to the levels required by ITER. In addition, it will make recommendations on data interoperability for external users of the data and provide an architecture for a data translation service to be incorporated into a final open data platform.
Characterization of non-experimental dataReport on what nonexperimental data eg from modelling is being produced and what steps would be necessary to bring it into the developed open data framework
Data Inventories and Policy LandscapeData Inventories and Policy Landscape presents a summary of existing experimental data holdings at together with current access policies at each partner site (JET, MAST, WEST, ASDEX-U, TCV) and seek the same information from local experiments such as COMPASS, FTU and ISTTOK, together with an assessment of site compliance with FAIR Principles
Final Report on Open Science Use Cases for Fusion InformationFinal Report on Open Science use Cases for Fusion Information extends D2.3 to cover additional use cases which we consider may be of interest to wider audiences including other research organisations and funders , enabling them to quantify their investment in fusion research.
Architecture for a Metadata Interoperability Service and Proposed Metadata ModelArchitecture for a Metadata Interoperability Service and Proposed Metadata Model will report on the proposed metadata schema based on existing and emerging standards and present an architectural design to allow searching across different sites using this model using an ontology mapping service. It will include documentation on the proposed mapping from locally applied metadata to the proposed schema together with a data dictionary.
Report on Technology Survey and Demonstrator RequirementsReport on Technology Survey and Demonstrator Requirements presents an initial assessment of potentially suitable architectures already in existence based on an early set of use cases, use of standards and FAIRness. Further, making use of the findings of the survey as well as of the use cases defined in WP2, it will specify technical requirements which will be met by the demonstrator, and by extension by the architectural blueprint.
User acceptance report for the demonstratorReport on the use of the demonstrator in light of the use cases identified in D22 and D23 as well as the policies identified in D21
Metadata and Provenance Ontology Mapping ServiceMetadata and Provenance Ontology Mapping Service delivers software based on D41 extended to include the ability to retrieve and search for provenance information from a number of sites in a flexible manner This will include an addendum to D41 updated to reflect the addition of provenance updates to the metadata model based on any additional feedback and results from testing the service
Blueprint Architecture for a Fusion Open Data Framework with proposition of the implementation planBlueprint Architecture for a Fusion Open Data Framework with proposition of the implementation plan presents the reference architecture together with recommendations for local policy modifications or additional functionalities which would aid discoverability and access taking into account the expanded set of use cases defined in Task 23 The second version will include the updated architecture as well the implementation plan for target architecture
Outreach and Dissemination ReportParticipation to major fusion conferences and organization of seminars in various fusion laboratories to present the outcome of the work together with providing training on the demonstrator
The Data Management Plan will address how we will manage research artefacts generated or collated within the scope of this project.
The final version of the data platform will be complete and delivered along with an accompanying report describing its components their interactions and use and deployment instructions
Data access implementation and validationA set of data access components usable by the Portal and connected to real data of a few experiment sites
