The STAMP engine will reduce the costs associated with search and retrieval and provide a higher quality of results. Primary and secondary information producers can use this as a marketing tool to support the sale of information products as they will be easier to use and offer better value for money. In-house information producers can use the tools to improve productivity and decision-making.
This is the only system to incorporate a Catalan stemmer and one of only a few to have a Spanish stemmer.
The STAMP engine's modularity allows stemmers for new languages to be added with ease. This is viewed as a key strength when addressing a European market.
