INnovation and excellence in massive-scale COMmunications and information processING

Project description

A regional leader in 5G studies

Data acquisition and information processing play a fundamental role in smart infrastructures in industry, transportation and energy. Fifth generation cellular network technology (5G) ensures the communication of data and information to such advanced infrastructures. Addressing the rapid changes and challenges encountered in the ICT sector, the University of Novi Sad (Serbia) founded the Centre for intelligent Communications, Networking and Information processing (ICONIC). The EU-funded INCOMING project will help ICONIC become a regional actor for 5G innovation studies. In cooperation with other academic institutions with high expertise in 5G technology, ICONIC will implement research and will work on staff exchange and training.
