Research and development of human interactive and sensitive robotics relying on additive manufacturing group large topics and skills which need to know each other.
The first period of the project has allowed publishing articles and conferences from already existing collaborations between TUL and the partners. The second one has covered the organization of several conferences. Thus ECMSM, 3D Trends, EEDAL have contributed to identify the overlapping and complementary fields of research and have also be a favorable condition to write in common.
To satisfy the standards in science, these conferences were driven by the purpose to reach a high scientific quality level. This requires a strong selection among the contributions. If these requirements were achieved for ECMSM’21, EEDAL’21 and 3D Trends’22. In the case of ECMSM'23, the number of contributions was insufficient, which ultimately led to the event's cancellation Nevertheless, the submitted articles proposed for this event have been reviewed by a peer review scientific committee. Furthermore, the review results were utilized to inform the authors about the quality of their papers, enabling them to consider submitting them to other conferences or journals.. Some of these deferred contributions has been already submitted and accepted in others high impact venues
The project focused on addressing the problem of researchers lacking motivation to publish their work and to strengthen international scientific collaborations. During the R2P2 project, efforts were made to improve the quality and quantity of publications, which are important for evaluating the Technical University of Liberec. The project aimed to emphasize the significance of quality presentations over quantity and promote collaborative authorship.
Throughout the project, significant progress was achieved. The collaboration with the R2P2 project expanded the range of research topics at the university, benefiting all partners involved. Stable collaborations between various research teams were formed, confirming the success of the project. Joint publications were prepared and submitted for review, and a successful conference, ECMSM2021, was organized with active participation from all project partners.
During the final period, additional advancements were made to support the project's objectives including the completion of multiple external visits of researchers to TUL, multiple short and mid-term visits of researchers from TUL to the partners of the consortium and the submission of many research project proposals. These achievements contribute to improving the motivation and productivity of researchers at the Technical University of Liberec, promoting high-quality publications, strong scientific alliances and enhancing the TUL's reputation among the academic community.
In conclusion, the project successfully fulfilled the objectives through collaboration with the R2P2 project. The project's outcomes, including the expansion of research topics, the formation of stable research teams, and the organization of a joint conference, have positively impacted the university's research environment.
