Project description
Delving deeper into the study of environment effects on human health
The effects of the environment on human health and aging are not fully understood and remain a challenge for scientific research. The Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, has experience on the subject through its RECETOX Centre. It now seeks to advance related studies and research in collaboration with specialised European scientific institutions. The EU-funded CETOCOEN Excellence project will create the European Centre of Excellence in Environmental Health Sciences. The proposed institution will take advantage of previous investments in scientific research and work on the improvement of knowledge of environmental impacts on human health and the process of aging. In addition, it will elaborate advanced methods targeting the protection of both the environment and health.
