Flowbase

Project description

Intelligent, automated solution to replace manual loading of data files

Freed from manually uploading data files, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are now able to automatically store workflows, thanks to software vendor Miraminds. Taking this process to the next level, the EU-funded Base project will make it possible for the right workflow to be presented to the user without the user having to even search for it. The project will develop an app to make storing, loading, intelligent searching, and recommendations for workflow data quick and suitable for any given context. This new solution (Flowbase) will transform Miraminds status into a data/platform/AI company with reasonably priced automated IT support solutions.

Objective

Miraminds currently offers software which enables IT-divisions of SMEs to automatically capture and store workflows for their colleagues. The next step is to develop a solution for this final and most challenging problem: automatically displaying the right workflow upon need of the user, without the user searching for it himself. Solutions that are similar to miraminds are only affordable for medium and large size companies. They have a long implementation period and require a great effort of all employees involved.

The objective of the recruitment of the innovation associate is developing a technology that replaces the cumbersome manual loading of files from a local file system with an intelligent (AI-based) cloud solution (named Flowbase) that allows for:
- Automated and seamless storing/loading of workflow data on a server/cloud from within our desktop software product.
- Intelligent search and/or recommendation of workflows based on a user’s work context.

By offering this new solution (Flowbase) we are planning to transform miraminds from a pure software vendor toward a data/platform/AI company. We offer the opportunity to introduce machine learning expertise into a new area of application which will possibly come with unique challenges and thus, lead to unique research results. To task of the associate will be to utilize predictive analysis with an approach that in the literature is known as collaborative filtering.

The intelligent platform Flowbase would offer IT departments in SMEs an affordable and easy to use solution to automate and individualize their first level IT support.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.

CSA - Coordination and support action
