Multi-scale Optimisation for Additive Manufacturing of fatigue resistant shock-absorbing MetaMaterials

Homogenised responses of different loading performed on the different SVEs. Deliverable is under the form of data points corresponding to the loading curves. This deliverable is a subset of D4.2 which does not include the effect of the process parameters.

Subset of D32 that can go public Database of microstructure cell geometry and material properties obtained by inferring parameters from both the model of the AM process T24 and the experimental characterisation T3132 without the effect of the process parameters

Surrogate model of the p.o.i. without the process parameters (opens in new window)

Surrogate model of the macroscale property or interest (p.o.i.) trained using the stochastic FEM (D5.2) with the trained surrogate model of the meso-scale responses (D5.1) as random field input. The surrogate model is a subset of D6.1 which does not include the effect of the process parameters on the p.o.i. in order to go public.

Updated version of deliverable D3.3 with new experimental tests performed in Task 3.1 and Task 3.2. Depending on the results of the new experimental campaign and the final selection of the material systems, either EOS materials or the new Luvosint® materials, or both of them, will be included in this deliverable.

Trained mesoscale surrogate model using full-field homogenisation results of WP4 (D4.2). The deliverable is under the form of a stochastic model (e.g. a random fields generator).

Stochastic multiscale software (opens in new window)

Implementation in cm3Libraires part of GMSH of a stochastic-finite elements method that use as input the mesoscale surrogate model (D5.1) as a random field. GMSH is an open source software (http://gmsh.info/)

Organisation of a workshop gathering the different actors in the field, not only the project own community, but also i) commercial software developers, ii) end-users of the shock-absorbing applications, and iii) actors in AM.

Compilation of publications:Two to three publications in international journals and the participation on three international conferences are foreseen per researcher working on the project. The journal and conferences will be related to the different areas targeted by the project: i) numerical methods; ii) additive manufacturing sciences; iii) advanced materials; iv) structural engineering; iv) UQ methods; v) biomechanics, etc. Co-supervised PhD theses will also be made public.
