However social stereotypes and discriminatory practices affecting and invisibilising specific communities (people with disability, minorities, immigrants, women,…) also occur in science. Therefore an inclusive science education approach is necessary in the EU, home to numerous vulnerable communities, to ensure their full participation in society. For this reason, the EU-funded C4S project aims to research the relationships between science and society by focusing on vulnerable communities to ensure their visibility and equal access in science and to improve the knowledge-base on inclusive science education. For this reason, science education activities will be organised at six local hubs for children and their families to promote science awareness and inclusive science education approaches.
