Favoriser la coopération entre l’UE et la Chine en matière de médecine personnalisée
En s’éloignant d’une approche universelle, la médecine personnalisée peut adapter les traitements afin d’atteindre le meilleur résultat pour chaque patient. L’objectif de la médecine personnalisée consiste à améliorer le diagnostic et le traitement des maladies, et de renforcer les stratégies de prévention en tenant compte des phénotypes et des génotypes du patient, ainsi que des facteurs environnementaux, biomédicaux et ceux liés au mode de vie. L’approche de la médecine personnalisée aux soins de santé a gagné du terrain en Europe et en Chine. C’est pour cette raison que le projet SINO-EU-PerMed, financé par l’UE, effectuera une cartographie du paysage et des parties prenantes du domaine de la médecine personnalisé en Chine. Il échangera également des expertises en organisant des visites d’étude en Chine et dans l’UE. Ensuite, des groupes de travail techniques et une série d’ateliers ciblés seront organisés pour promouvoir la communication et la collaboration entre experts du domaine de la médecine personnalisée en Chine et dans l’UE. Sino-EU-PerMed vise à connecter les stratégies et les activités du Consortium international pour la médecine personnalisée (International Consortium for Personalised Medicine ou ICPerMed) aux parties prenantes pertinentes de la Chine. L’ICPerMed est une initiative menée par les États membres de plus de 40 ministères internationaux et agences de financements.
Objectif
Personalised Medicine (PerMed) approaches bring along immense potentials to improve diagnosis and treatment of diseases and prevention strategies by taking into account individuals' geno- and phenotypes, biomedical, life style or environmental data. The International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) is a member state driven initiative of over 40 international ministries and funding agencies. The European Commission (EC) is an active observer and supports by funding several related projects. ICPerMed aims at aligning efforts in all areas of PerMed by fostering international coordination of research and innovation funding.
To support these efforts “Widening Sino‐EU policy and research cooperation in Personalised Medicine” (Sino-EU-PerMed) aims at connecting ICPerMed strategies and activities with relevant Chinese stakeholders. To achieve this goal the Sino-EU-PerMed will disseminate and coordinate the following activities. Inventory and analysis of the PerMed landscape in China via a mapping. In addition the Sino-EU-PerMed consortium will exchange expertise and experts by workshops and via delegation trips in China and Europe. Thereby we will gain a better mutual understanding of PerMed activities and related cultural aspects and health economy issues. By establishing technical taskforces and running a series of targeted workshops Sino-EU-PerMed will promote international standards and pave the way for future communication, collaboration and undertakings. Therefore the implementation of a dissemination plan is part of the project.
Our consortium and activities aim at maximising the unique and long-term impact PerMed approaches in cooperation and in alignment with ICPerMed. The cooperation with China set up and planned in Sino-EU-PerMed will allow ICPerMed to further strengthen Europe's leading role in this area and contribute to a successful implementation of PerMed in the global context and foster joint PerMed projects between Europe and China.
