Coordinación mundial para mejorar la preparación y la respuesta frente a las pandemias
El proyecto GloPID-R Secretariat, financiado con fondos europeos, coordina y apoya la GloPID-R, una coalición mundial de organizaciones de financiación de la investigación que invierten en investigaciones para mejorar la preparación y la respuesta frente a las pandemias. GloPID-R Secretariat proporciona un apoyo administrativo, financiero, organizativo, estratégico y científico a los miembros de la GloPID-R y a su comité ejecutivo. Además, supervisa las comunicaciones de la GloPID-R, lo cual facilita el intercambio de información entre sus miembros y las partes interesadas a la vez que aumenta la visibilidad de dicha coalición mundial y de sus actividades.
Objetivo
GloPID-R-Sec II is the secretariat to the Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R). The partners FMER and UOXF have been successfully running the GloPID-R Secretariat (hereafter” the Secretariat) for the last five years (2015-2019). The current GloPID-R Secretariat-staff involved at FMER and UOXF will also be involved in GloPID-R Sec II, guaranteeing a smooth transition and continuity from the current Secretariat to its new funding period. The activities of the Secretariat encompass:
- Organisational-secretarial support for smooth and efficient implementation of the operational activities of GloPID-R (e.g. organisation of meetings, maintenance of the GloPID-R Charter, financial monitoring and reporting)
- Implementing, evaluating and maintaining an effective external communications programme to build the GloPID-R membership and support for GloPID-R;
- Providing ‘on demand’ technical support for the further development and operationalisation of GloPID-R’s strategy. This includes amongst others, (i) Operational support to facilitate rapid and aligned funding of research in outbreak emergencies, (ii) Technical support to research preparedness to reinforce rapid response capacities and (iii) Coordination activities to reinforce GloPID-R’s visibility and capacity to operate as a global platform.
