INcreasing the InNOVation Management Capacity of SMEs in ISTanbul

Project description

Growth and innovation for Istanbul’s SMEs

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Istanbul will benefit from specific services under the H2020 call for the period 2020-2021, which will help them to improve competitiveness, achieve growth and increase profitability. The EU-funded INNOVIST 4.0 project intends to deliver consultative services to selected SMEs. The project will use IMP3rove, AToMIC or smE-MPOWER tools to evaluate the innovation management capacities of companies and identify weaknesses, selecting those suitable for receiving consultative services. It will then deliver key account management (KAM) services to 10 beneficiaries of H2020 SME Instrument, FTI and FET Open and enhancing innovation management capacity (EIMC) services to 103 companies with high potential for growth on a national and international level.

Objective

INNOVIST 4.0 aims to provide Key Account Management (KAM) services to beneficiaries of Horizon 2020’s SME
Instrument, FTI and FET Open; and providing services for “Enhancing Innovation Management Capacity” (EIMC) to SMEs in
the Istanbul region. The main objective of the project is to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness, growth and
profitability of SMEs in the region by assessing their innovation management capacities, performing gap analyses, and
developing and prioritizing actions to resolve problems and further improve their innovation outcomes. The innovation
management capacity and performance of a company will be assessed by using tools in compliance with the CEN/TS
16555-1 standard (such as IMP3rove, AToMIC or smE-MPOWER).
A total of 113 SMEs will be provided this service, 103 of them targeted for EIMC services (7-10 days long), and
10 reserved for KAM services. The consortium will devote 2,35 FTE for these services for the 2020-2021 period.
