Project description
EU support for innovation of Montenegro's SMEs
The EU encourages the innovation of SMEs in countries that aspire to start accession negotiations. Montenegro envisages such a perspective. Its SMEs receive specific help from the EU in the fields of mentoring and training as well as of cross-border innovation plans. The EU-funded MontEENegro project proposes Enterprise Europe Network as an instrument that will support the innovation of Montenegro's SMEs, providing information and guidance. Such support will be provided through two packages. The first (Key Account Management) will support SMEs to benefit from the Horizon 2020 mechanism. The second will offer services to increase SMEs' innovation management capacity and make them more efficient and successful. The project will particularly focus on SMEs with international growth potential.
Objective
Enterprise Europe Network is a main support instrument for innovation in SMEs. It will provide innovation support services as well as information and advisory services such as mentoring, coaching and partner search activities for SMEs wishing to develop cross-border innovation projects.
Innovation support, as a service that EEN Montenegro will deliver, will be offered through two packages - Key Account Management (KAM) to support the innovation capacity of successful “SME instrument” applicants benefiting from Horizon 2020 specific supporting mechanism, and Services to enhance the innovation management capacity of SMEs in Montenegro in order to improve their effectiveness and efficiency, in particular aimed at those with significant innovation activities and a
real potential for international growth.
