EEN TOPIC2INNO 2020-2021 project aims at implementing services enhancing the innovation management capacity of SMEs by the Enterprise Europe Network TOPIC in 3 French Metropolitan regions : Paris Ile-de-France, Centre – Val de Loire and Normandie.
Two Types of services are delivered by the EEN TOPIC2INNO partners :
- Key Account Manager Services (KAM) to support the granted companies of European funding programs with a regional support,
- And EIMC Services (Enhancing Innovation Management Capacity) to carry out an analysis of innovation management within SMEs using the Check’Innov and CCI MAP tools and of rolling out an action plan to the company including both collective and individual support actions according to the needs.
This report presents the KAM and EIMC services delivered during the 24-month period, from the 1st January 2020 to the 31st December 2021.
The consortium delivered 55 completed KAM services and 87 completed EIMC services during the period.
In 2020-2021 and for the regions covered by the EEN TOPIC2INNO Consortium:

More than 60 granted SME benefited from a KAM during the period

More than 100 EIMC services have been performed during the period
The KAM support is directly linked to the number of laureates of the funded programmes in the régions covered by the TOPIC2INNO project (Paris Ile-de-France Region, Centre – Val de Loire Region, Normandie Region).
There is a clearly impact on the number of KAM services delivered with the termination of the SME Instrument.
There is also a strongly negative impact of the COVID-19 crisis on EIMC Services, including some abandons of support started before 2020.
