Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project

Considering the worldwide consumption of wine, and the increasing refinement of consumers, the wine industry has currently a main objective: to obtain quality wines through an efficient production process. However, this is a very difficult goal since unique wines can only be achieved using very specific equipments and ingredients, which are not easy to apply at industrial level. In this context, LEV2050 has developed ECO-BIOMASS, a global solution which ensures high quality wines and big production capacity. This project aims to introduce LEV2050 in main European markets, by improving its characteristics, making trials with wineries and spreading its promising results.

Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far

During the last 6 months of the project, LEV2050 has completed a number of trials in wineries within Europe, organized demonstration sessions in their facilities, contacted key commercial distributors to commercialize the product in target countries, and spread results in general and specialized press, as well as in sectorial fairs.
Resulting wines have been very succesfull and wineries have shown their interest in following potentially becoming customers of LEV2050.

Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far)

During the following months, LEV2050 will continue with the demonstration tests in a few more wineries, and final results on the wine obtained will be evaluated. Besides, commercial contacts will be strengthened by promotional actions sucha as the attendance of two additional trade fairs.
The project is enabling a number of wineries to know ECOBIOMASS advantages, and gives them the opportunity to test it and self-evaluate its potential. This way, they will obtain special wines, while avoiding production issues, which finally will imply a very positive return for these companies, and a higher quality product for the final consumer.
