Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project

Rubber is a popular product in our society. Raw rubbed sheets (which is used for its manipulation and manufacturing of final product) have to be provided with no flaws and clean, but when manufactured, these rubber sheets suffer from superficial dust and contaminants – which appears naturally in rubber.
So, rubber sheets need a dedusting and polishing treatment. Usually, it is provided by two different machines (first with a rubber polishing machine, and further, it is followed by a treatment with a dedusting machine to get rid of dust and contaminants).
One4Clean is a novel machine that automatically executes both processes into an “all-in-one” machine, saving energy, working time (only one time for the two processes more sheets per second), and avoiding the use of water and chemicals, and content dust contaminants that may affect factory efficiency and out of factory environmental impact.

Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far

Technical Plan: It has been analysed and defined the technical requirements to move from TRL6 to TRL8, as well as simplified bill of materials. A work plan (roadmap) has been defined to face EIC with guarantee. Technical risks have been identified and the validation process detailed, as well as certification.
Market analysis and Commercial feasibility includes the analysis of the different countries that have significance to rubber sheet production, as well as textile and leather as secondary markets. Producers have been identified and has given the potential sells for the one4clean system. Competitors and freedom to operate has been executed.
Business and project execution plan: the business plan include a sales forecast, EBITDA estimations, and market risk identification. With an initial estimation of 850k€ for EIC Pilot, the exploitation BP indicates an ROI of 7.14 in five years.

Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far)

The project opens a business for MCR of 14.3M€ profit, and 18 new employments during first 5 years. One4clean offers clear advantages for the industry: i) an all in one engine saves 50% man work time and increases +100% production efficiency. ii) saves 35% of industrial space; iii) 20% energy saving, and 8.2 tons of CO2 emission per year. Finally, it is almost 100% clean (98%) avoiding the dispersion of rubber dust in the air.
