Communication, social media and societal resilience

Documents and analyses social media and electronic communication between disaster management agencies and citizens, and among citizens. Clarifies the relationship between these two forms of communication and actual societal resilience, considering cultural and gender diversity.

Expectations and needs to improve societal resilience

Gather the gaps, constraints, opportunities, expectations and needs identified from the first responders and authorities in order to improve societal resilience.

Local perceptions, risk awareness, needs and expectations about societal resilience

Summarises results of the survey of needs, perceptions, needs and expectations of individuals and communities for security and risk. Draws conclusions about the relationship between risk perception, risk awareness and actual societal resilience, considering gender variance.

Initial catalogue of societal resilience solutions

Selected solutions description of contextual issues and guidelines for implementation

Directions for innovative communication and social media solutions

Improved design directions for communication and social media technology; report on approaches for transfer of research results to the public.

Midterm Societal impact report

Report results derived societal impact and provide recommendations

Final validation report

This Deliverable will report the final results of the Validation, providing recommendations and feedback for improvements and future applications of the approach. The Deliverable will also provide information and data useful for demonstration and dissemination purposes.

Formal solutions to improve societal resilience

Gather all the “formal” solutions identified for first responders and authorities to improve societal resilience. Included in the ENGAGE Knowledge Platform

Initial directions for innovative communication and social media solutions

Lessons learned from existing solutions initial design concepts for improvement

Final project report

Summarizes status of project on completion in terms of fulfilment of objectives and impact Contains a publishable part summary of main achievement.

Final catalogue of societal resilience solutions

Recommended solutions, revised description of contextual issues and guidelines for implementation.

Methods and tools to engage community of practice in transdisciplinary collaboration

Methods for engaging citizens, first responders and authorities in co-creation and adoption. Includes lessons learned on conducting succesful workshop

Contribution to SENDAI, policy and standardization

Summary of ENGAGE contribution to SENDAI framework, policy and to standards. It includes a white paper on societal resilience and 2 policy briefs.

Informal solutions to improve societal resilience

Gather all the informal solutions identified for first responders and authorities to improve societal resilience. Included in the ENGAGE Knowledge Platform.

Preliminary model for assessing and methods for improving societal resilience

Summarises results of 1 the case studies and 2 the survey focus groups and interviews carried Systematises transversal knowledge about the diversity of societal resilience across a variety of contexts and draws initial conclusions about contextual and target aspects of societal resilience

Final Societal impact report

Update on D6.2. Report results from monitoring societal impact provide and recommendations.
