Documents and analyses social media and electronic communication between disaster management agencies and citizens, and among citizens. Clarifies the relationship between these two forms of communication and actual societal resilience, considering cultural and gender diversity.
Gather the gaps, constraints, opportunities, expectations and needs identified from the first responders and authorities in order to improve societal resilience.
Summarises results of the survey of needs, perceptions, needs and expectations of individuals and communities for security and risk. Draws conclusions about the relationship between risk perception, risk awareness and actual societal resilience, considering gender variance.
