Product description: The dream of providing an individual real time information about facial skin health for all those end-users who have integrated the technology in daily life will become a reality with FACE, the first personal real-time facial analyzer capable of generating personalized therapeutic strategies and wellbeing recommendations based on the combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and medical expert algorithms.

Value Proposition: FACE software is a disruptive AI facial checker adapted to be used through any device (smartphone, tablet, computer) thanks to a unique image processing technology that solves different challenges.1) Improvement of user´s experience and confidence in purchasing healthcare and wellbeing products through the different selling channels. 2) Generation of objective real-time information about all the skin issues needed by pharmaceutical companies to develop tailor-made skincare products. 3) Development of massive skincare trends analyses through the information stored in the cloud in order to cover the pharmaceutical company marketing needs in this area.
Unexpectedly, the COVID´s pandemic and the subsequent changes in the population behavior has supposed an additional market opportunity for FACE. Due to this new normality an important barrier for the cosmetic and the wellbeing sector, with remarkable difficulties in maintain the sales rates due to the isolation rules established worldwide. FACE will cover the virtual evaluation claimed by this sector in order to push up their wellbeing market sales.

The FACE stage of development: The FACE global patent has been granted with a TRL of 6.


FACE disruption in the current practice: Traditionally,and particularly in the time before COVID pandemic because currently the close evaluation for cosmetic evaluation is limited, the buyer of cosmetic&wellbeing products usually visited cosmetic stores and pharmacies/parapharmacies in search of the best advice for making skin care decisions. In these cases, the advice comes from the subjective opinion of an observer, usually with little training in cosmetics, who gives his/her personal opinion based on his/her limited knowledge.
To the best of our knowledge, FACE is the first virtual cosmetic&wellbeing assistant on the market developed 100% by experts in Dermatology, Cosmetics and Allergology. FACE generates an objective assessment based on an own Artificial Intelligence-based biometric facial analysis and personalized recommendations based on the combination of the experience of the FACE panel of experts and objective data from the analysis of the user and the products on the market.
FACE seeks to generate predictive cosmetics strategies to offer the best individualized treatment to its users in short and long term. FACE allows to continue with the cosmetic&wellbeing care without the need to be closely evaluated by a person, minimizing the risk of possible infections in this time of pandemic.

Business Model & Commercialisation: We have a number of commercialisation routes to market.

Supply chain: Inclusion of wellbeing content (products and other information) by our medical and cosmetic expert panel in the FACE platform, individualized AI product analysis, AI wellbeing report, personalized product recommendation to the end-user, access to a selling link to facilitate the client´s product purchase.
2) WORK PERFORMED
Technical report explains the main outcomes of the work performed during the 4 months of the project duration. The main tasks performed has been:

Task 1.1:Engineering and Technical Activities: The product has achieved TRL 6. The following activities has been carried out in the last 4 months.

1) Development of the MVP. More than 25.000 real skin images has been taken to achieve the MVP.
2) Development of the front end and APP for androing and IOS.
3) Development and registration of the brand and logo (see picture attached).

Task 1.2:Business and Commercial Activities: The following activities has been carried out:
1) Market assessment in the main geographies where the product will be exploited.
2) Commercialization strategy and customer segmentation.
3) Competitors analysis and risk assessment
4) Business model and financial projections.
5) 1st meetings with customers interested in licensing the service.

Task 1.3: Legal Activities:

Analysis of legal regulations related to GDPR, development of user manual and privacy policy.

The FACE project aims to raise awareness among both the population and companies dedicated to health and wellness in the impact of the cosmetic industry on the environment. For this reason, FACE recommendation algorithm includes the following positive positioning items that aim to reduce the polluting effect of cosmetics and their packaging: 1) Product that respect ocean and coral reefs. 2) Biodegradable product/packaging. 3) Product with anti-pollution filter.
In turn, the possibility of including all the product information addressed to the user through FACE will reduce the printed material, with the consequent reduction in polluting ink and in the consumption of paper used for advertising purposes by cosmetic companies.
Lastly, FACE's personalized health and wellness product recommendation will allow for a more efficient cosmetic product purchase, based on the greater probability of satisfaction with it.

The New Horizons 81 SL team will increase from 6 people in 2020 to 29 in 2022, thereby creating 23 new full times roles. These new jobs will include positions in research, technical, marketing, logistics & sales. We will maintain our current female ratio in our team of approximately 50%.
