HEGIAS AG has developed HEGIAS VR, the first browser-based Virtual Reality Content Management System, which automatically creates walkable, interactive, and editable high-end VR environments from available digital building models.
We started from a browser-based 3D editor to create a 360° walkable virtual representation of a residential project, with the aim of allowing architects and potential homebuyers to develop, view and modify the property and make instant buying decisions. After investing €2M on further developing our idea, we have reached TRL 7 and have tested HEGIAS VR on a pre-commercial scale.

During the Feasibility Study period, we have analysed the technical requirements of the project, in order to extend automation, improve usability and develop new AI-powered features. Alongside, we have developed the technical roadmap and the risk assessment framework. Commercially, we have performed an overview of the sector, market size and competitors, focusing specially on the productivity gains and positive environmental impact that HEGIAS VR can bring upon. We have established our immediate target market and quantified the equivalence of our market share, in line with our go-to-market strategy. We have assessed our budget requirements for a 24-month long project, revisited our pricing strategy and drafted the financial projections for the first 5 years of commercialization.
Browser-based HEGIAS VR’s agnostic approach allows democratising the use of VR as a standard visualisation tool for all the parties involved in any architecture, engineering and construction project. On top of that, HEGIAS VR is more cost effective than alternative products and offers key features that are crucial to make an impact on the construction industry. Only in Europe there are 4,25 million enterprises that can benefit from using HEGIAS VR, which will maximise their productivity, obtaining greater economic returns while mitigating the environmental impact of the industry.
