Carbon Offset Plug-in

Project description

Crowdfund for climate change with integrated carbon offsets

Carbon Checkout is a Spain-based technology company that facilitates carbon offset transactions through e-commerce and mobile channels. Carbon offsets are an effective way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions beyond what we can achieve through individual lifestyle choices alone. With EU funding of the COPI project, Carbon Checkout seeks to integrate its software application into partner e-commerce sites, thereby providing individuals with the convenient option to offset the carbon footprint of any purchase in one click at checkout. All carbon offset projects funded by the company meet rigorous standards and are third-party verified; this oversight ensures that carbon offset contributions are directed to only the highest quality projects, with emission reductions that are both measurable and permanent.

Objective

Carbon Checkout is a technology company that facilitates carbon offset transactions through eCommerce and mobile channels. We integrate our carbon finance software application into partner sites and mobile platforms to enhance the customer experience with a sustainable purchasing option – an option to offset the carbon footprint of their purchase, in one-click at checkout.
