Project description
Innovative system for enhancing attention
Mind wandering is a common everyday experience that usually disengages attention from the immediate external environment, focussing, instead, on internal trains of thought. It is believed that people spend as much as 50 % of their waking hours in that state, which can affect safety, learning and mental health. The EU-funded CLONESA project aims to identify the individual neurocognitive markers of attention and optimal neurostimulation parameters that will help assess and modulate neural patterns of activity in real time for prospective use in a plug and play device for precision medicine. The study will aid cognitive enhancement and bolster the treatment of attention disorders.
