Objectif
The primary objectives are:
implement DVSM system over Telmat TR7000 UNIX workstation clusters
produce an optimised DVSM system for the CS-2 MPP system
develop software strategies for performance enhancement
define simple hardware support for fine-grain sharing in a DVSM system.
In addition to the primary objectives there are related secondary objectives which will be achieved in the course of the project:
create a benchmark suite of shared memory applications
develop simulation tools for distributed cache design
implement standard application interfaces to shared memory to ease porting.
