Objective
The development of an organic soil conditioner based on chicken manure and flax, two waste materials which are difficult to market because of dust and air problems. The combination of these two products gives an excellent soil conditioner without dust and odour problems and with high nutrient content.
The last year there are a lot of soil conditioners as substitutes for the classical ones as manure. These classical soil conditioners have the disadvantages that the moisture content is too high so that a lot of nutrients are leached out in the groundwater.
The mineral fertilizers are leaching very easy why very great deficits are present and in the groundwater are filled up with nutrients. To solve this problem we optimize an organic soil conditioner composed out of organic wastes from the bio-industry, food-industry, textile industry and tobacco industry.
The purpose of the mixture of different organic waste materials is to obtain an organic soil conditioner which has following properties:
1) very low in moisture
2) very high inorganic matter
3) equilibrium in nutrients (N, P, K, Ca, Mg)
4) very low in heavy metals, clorides, etc.
