Training and Education in Integral Environment Management

Objective

Develop an Integral Environmental Management approach based on experiences with pollution prevention methods in process- and product oriented projects for specific industry-sectors, and disseminate information through training and education activities in different EC-countries.

In cooperation between TME/T.U. Delft (the Netherlands), C.T.C. (Ireland) and I. Krueger AS. (Denmark) the following activities will be executed:
1. Adaption of the existing European and American branch and company handbooks, manuals and training materials for the specific situations in different EC countries;
2. Adaption of guides and methods for environmentally sound product design and lifecycle analysis methodologies for different industry - sectors;
3. Develop an integral environmental management approach on the basis of 1 and 2;
4. Setting up training and education activities for the selected industry-sectors to test the possibilites for an EC wide dissemination;
The following results are to be expected:
- an approach for Integral Environmental Management in which experiences with product- and process oriented pollution prevention are integrated, for selected industry sectors.
- a training programme and material for industry sector organisations and companies.
