Towards Optimized Use of Research Reactors in Europe

CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Deliverables

Strategy for optimized use of research reactors in Europe (opens in new window)

The strategic report will include SWOT analysis identification of the key parameters that are influencing reactor availability and propose the operational schemes for shared management of available capacities

Recommendations for planning refurbishment of existing research reactors or construction of new ones (opens in new window)

The report will assess to what extent existing and new reactors will fulfil the future needs and identification of crucial time gaps in the transfer between existing and future reactors and neutron sources It will also include initial inventory of the actual situation in this field in Europe and a comparison of the planned capacities to the needs identified It will also include identification of potential refurbishmentconstruction including barriersobstacles and provide recommendations how to tackle them

Data Base of European RR fleet (opens in new window)

Based on the results of initial analysis and questionnaire survey ENEN will establish data base of European research reactors and their planned activities with contribution of all reactor operators involved and CIEMAT

Model of utilization and coordination of RR activities (opens in new window)

The report will describe the developed Innovative model for coordination between users and providers of RR capacities

Online platform for optimized use of research reactors in Europe (opens in new window)

The deliverable is a dedicated online platform that will include identification of the available infrastructures, characterization of these infrastructures and continuously updated overview of available capacities and corresponding abilities of the participating RR operators.

Promo materials (opens in new window)

Project generic promotional materials will be designed and produced It includes generic poster leaflet and PPT presentation Corporate identity will be designed and applied to all project documents
