Objective
OBJECTIVES
Workers in the Horticultural sector increasingly work in the context of an internal European market and must as a result, acquire the linguistic skills required to communicate with their counterparts. In the framework of the NYMPHEA certification, language training is being planned; but it is a recognised fact that vocational training tools do not exist. The project therefore aims to create a linguistic CD-ROM allowing professional communication in horticulture.
ACTIVITIES
Several phases are planned in the setting up of this project. A preparation phase will define the needs and specifications of the tool. In the production phase, linguistic material will be collected and the tool will be produced. Then, an experimentation phase will cover any adjustments. Finally, a distribution phase in which potential users will be targeted (training centres, businesses, individuals). The languages covered in the project will be English, French, Italian and Portuguese. An extension of the project to include other European languages will be considered later.
