Instruments for eco-accountancy, for the preparation of new professional figures in the environmental field, and in the building and agro-food sectors

Objective

OBJECTIVES
The subject of eco-records and eco-audits is still very new and there are hardly any concrete examples available to illustrate the concept. On the other hand, training in this field must be practical. It is consequently very important that the production of learning modules be based on analyses of real-life cases and on new material. The project, which takes advantage of the results obtained under a FORCE project on new environmental professions, seeks to prepare technicians and managers working in different areas of a company (safety, management of technological departments, quality, etc.) for new environmental management and sustained development techniques, by means of innovative training modules.

ACTIVITIES
Core skills in the field of eco-audits and eco-balance will be promoted by developing innovative training modules which will be based on new material collected on a local basis. This material (discussions on and analyses of eco-balance carried out at SMEs in the construction and farm produce sectors) will allow learning modules to be designed which will be available on the Internet and amenable to future expansion and improvement by means of user contributions.

PRODUCTS
Training modules for self-training and distance learning in the field of eco-audit and eco-balance, available on the Internet.
