Objective
OBJECTIVES
With the aim of contributing to preserving the competitiveness of the European steel industry, this project proposes to develop a benchmarking system enabling the vocational training measures applied in European steelworks of the same type to be compared. By promoting dialogue between trainers and employee representatives, indicators will be developed which will make it possible to compare, both qualitatively and quantitatively, the various aspects of vocational training in the sector, such as, for example, technical training, leadership training, Total Quality Management training or other training methods.
ACTIVITIES
In the first step of the project it is planned to analyse and develop indicators enabling in-company training programmes to be compared. In a second step, a description of training systems and example training activities will be produced. Finally, seminars addressing this benchmarking process will be organised and suggestions relating to better practices and transfer will be formulated on this basis.
PRODUCTS
- Design of an indicator system for comparing in-company training measures.
- Publication on best practices. Development of a concept for transferring the system to other industrial sectors.
