Objective
OBJECTIVES
The metallurgical sector is currently undergoing a phase of considerable change, which will have substantial repercussions on future qualification requirements. The objective of this project is thus to analyse the current situation with regard to qualification requirements in view of the market situation and future expectations for SMEs in certain regions of Europe. In this sense, it is planned - within the framework of the project - to harmonise and synchronise the analyses of requirements and developments in the various regions. The results are to contribute to supporting the structural changes currently being experienced by the metallurgical industry.
ACTIVITIES
Firstly, a survey will be conducted on the current qualifications situation in the SMEs of the sector. This survey will be carried out by the partners in co-operation with industrial associations. In parallel, a link will also be established between present and future qualification requirements in the metallurgical industry. Secondly, guidelines and criteria for initial and continuing vocational training will be produced.
PRODUCTS
The project will result in the production of a document containing guidelines and criteria for a strategic concept for initial and continuing training for SMEs in the metallurgical industry. In parallel, innovative training courses and modules will be developed.
