Objective
OBJECTIVES
Directive 1836/93 has introduced a new set of regulations concerning the voluntary participation of commercial enterprises in a Community system in the area of environmental management and ecological audit. Ecological auditors and experts play a major role in achieving the objectives of this Directive, as they evaluate companies' ecological systems. It is therefore proving increasingly necessary for these experts to acquire appropriate professional qualifications. The objective set by this project is therefore to design an initial and continuing vocational training programme for ecological auditors.
ACTIVITIES
The initial aim of the project is to define the professional profile of the ecological auditor, and the associated knowledge and skills. The partners will then formulate a training programme incorporating criteria for evaluation and admission to the post and taking existing training programmes into account. In a second phase it is planned to produce training materials. The project will be completed in a third phase with the preparation and production of workshops and training seminars for trainers.
