Objective
OBJECTIVES
New demands are increasingly being placed on lower skilled and poorly qualified employees due to new technology, work intensification, re-organisation and the increasing need for competitiveness. Modern employees must be able to take the initiative, to be flexible and to be capable of solving any problems which arise. Against this background the project will improve the skills - particularly literacy, numeracy and communication skills - of fully qualified and lower skilled employees in order to improve their employability.
ACTIVITIES
A multimedia tool will be produced and tested which will assist employers, human resources specialists, production managers, supervisors and vocational guidance providers in analysing the training needs of the workforce. The multimedia tool will be tested in different Member States, particularly in SMEs, providing data which can be used to develop cost-effective, flexible training and learning products.
PRODUCTS
The result of the project will be a multimedia disk containing a complete methodology for the development of continuing vocational training and lifelong learning through a training needs analysis methodology and training and learning materials. The disk will provide an interactive means of identifying training needs for a broad range of development activities.
