The AIESEC Euro-Environment Project: Vocational training tools for access to a sustainable future

Objective

OBJECTIVES
Across Europe there is a serious lack of technical assistance in the area of environmental management and technology. There is a need to improve vocational training and the skills, qualifications and employability of the labour force in this sector. The aim of the project is therefore to provide people who wish to work in this area with the qualifications and skills to immediately enter a growing labour market, thus mitigating the severe lack of a skilled work force which is currently affecting the massive and growing environmental industry in Europe and world-wide. The project will achieve this goal by designing and developing an environmental management and technology (EMT) training CD-ROM.

ACTIVITIES
The partners will design and develop an environmental management and technology training CD-ROM in English, French, Swedish and Danish. The CD-ROM will be tested in the UK, France, Sweden and Denmark as a tool for distance and self-learning. It will also be tested in these four countries as a tool for in-company training. The CD-ROM will be launched across Europe in the distance and self-learning market and in the in-company training market.

PRODUCTS
The project will produce a multimedia CD-ROM vocational training package that will provide easy access to university accreditation and skills in environmental management and technology.
