Objective
OBJECTIVES
In the 90s, the number of local European organisations involved in transnational co-operation increased as a result of the various programmes implemented by the European Commission. The projects developed under these transnational co-operative schemes enable knowledge to be transferred and real impact to be made in the economic, social and environmental sectors. However, these activities have all too often collapsed as a result of the lack of vocational training for the officials responsible for these project files. The project therefore proposes to upgrade the skills of regional-development managers in the EU with the aim of developing transnational projects, and to align and make transparent the qualifications required for carrying out this profession.
ACTIVITIES
Firstly it is planned to identify the activities and skills which correspond to the professional profile of the officials who are responsible for transnational files in order to create a reference list of professions. This will serve as a basis for a second step, the aim being to construct training modules for transnational project developers of local organisations. Finally, the project envisages streamlining the various training programmes implemented by introducing a training system for trainers.
