Ergonomics as an Integral Part of Vocational Training - Euromodules for Screen Work as an Example

Objective

OBJECTIVES
Given the health risks posed by working in front of a screen, a European Directive has fixed minimum criteria to be complied in this kind of work. On the basis of the requirements of this European Directive, this project recommends the development of advice and training measures for SMEs for the application of the Directive. The partners will try to ensure that ergonomics takes a more significant role in curricula for professional training.

ACTIVITIES
An analysis of the needs of companies related to the application of this directive will first of all be produced. Training modules for the proper management of on-screen working will be developed on the basis of this. The training will then be tested in companies to be evaluated and matched to actual constraints.

PRODUCTS
Production of an analysis of the needs of companies related to the application of the European Directive and creation of training modules designed to promote the acquisition of good ergonomic behaviour (self-training materials).
