Objective
OBJECTIVES
The European food production sector is strongly affected by competition in a context of accelerated globalisation of markets. This project aims to contribute to improvements in the performance of the food production sector through the formation of a European Performance Improvement Consortium (EPIC). This consortium will act as a pilot group for the development of strategies and actions designed to promote the importance of improving performance in the sector through training.
ACTIVITIES
The partners will, initially, form a consortium of companies at regional and European level. This group of companies will, with the partnership, proceed to list: solutions to the performance deficit which have already been proposed and tried out, good training practice, existing training tools and materials and resource trainers. They will then form a European database on the basis of the results of this research. Furthermore, a self-evaluation tool for needs in terms of qualifications and assistance with research into appropriate solutions in terms of training will be developed by the partnership. Training programmes will be transposed, tested and evaluated and a training package will be finalised and implemented in the companies in the sector. A bulletin will be published, providing the companies with information on the training which exists, the experiments which have been carried out, achievements, etc.
