Intervention in favour of SMI competitivity

Objective

OBJECTIVES
In the current context, it is becoming important to reduce economic and technological gaps related to shortfalls in skills, notably in less favoured regions and simultaneously to take account of these two dimensions in Community training practices. The objective of this project will be to develop methods of working and developing training actions in the area of advanced technologies to improve on-going training provision as part of university-business co-operation at Community level. The final objective will be to increase the productivity of SMIs/SMEs in the European economic space.

ACTIVITIES
Apart from the initial study phase and the identification of target sectors for intervention, the project envisages: analysis of training needs and new qualifications (sector reports for each partner region and a general study of variations between men and women); a response to these needs through the implementation of transnational training modules and teaching tools; increased mobility; the transfer of experiences and the dissemination of methods and results acquired through the creation of a database on an electronic network; and - finally - a continuous evaluation of what has been created.

PRODUCTS
A methodology of training needs; short transnational training modules; a database for the transfer of experiences, methods and results acquired by the network of partners.
